Ames CPA Accounting Services, PLLC (“Company,” “Us,” or “We) we are committed to protecting your privacy through this Privacy Policy (“Policy”).  We created this Policy because we know that you care about how your information is used and shared.  This Policy applies to our Website, https://www.bkames.com/ (“Website”), and to the information you provide to us offline, including without limitation, via phone, email, or social media.  This is a legal document, and you should read it carefully.  By using the Website, you agree to the terms covered in this Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to visitors to the Websites, who view only publicly available content (“Visitors”), and users who register with us (“Registered Users”) and wish to purchase a product or service through one of our Websites.

    When you wish to purchase a product or service, you will be required to provide certain information in addition to the Contact Information and Order Information noted above. Such information may include a debit card number, credit card number, expiration date, billing address, activation codes, and similar information (“Billing Information”). Billing Information is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor operating as our agent. We do not directly obtain or process any Billing Information.

    In addition to the information noted above, we may collect additional information (“Other Information”). Such Other Information may include:

From You: Additional information about yourself that you voluntarily provide to us (e.g., via a survey), such as service preferences, and other information that does not identify you personally.

Third-Party Analytics: We use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to evaluate your use of the Websites, compile reports on activity, collect demographic data, analyze performance metrics, and collect and evaluate other information relating to the Websites and mobile and Internet usage. Email

We do not sell or in any way share your email in exchange for remuneration. Occasionally, Company does partner with third parties to provide joint education, resources, products, or services. In these cases, your participation is deemed consent for us to share any information you provide to us to that third party. 

Company’s emails will comply with applicable laws including the CAN-SPAM act. Each email will clearly identify that it is from the Company along with a place for you to unsubscribe from our email list. Occasionally, the technological systems we rely on to remove you from our email list may fail to unsubscribe you. If you continue receiving unwanted emails, please reach out to Company directly at [email protected] and we will manually remove you.

Unsubscribing from Company’s email list will remove you from our routine promotional emails and informational emails about podcasts, blog posts, and other resources we may have to share. However, you may still receive information about programs, services, or products you have bought from Company.

Information Disclosures

Company will disclose your personal information only when necessary to provide services, programs, or products to you, or when necessary to work with third parties like lawyers or collection agencies to enforce these terms or any other terms between you and Company. We may also disclosure you information when we are otherwise legally required to do so.

How We Protect Your Information

We make best efforts to ensure the security of your information using industry standards and reasonable methods. We rely on reputable and reliable third-party vendors to collect basic information. If you work with us in a one-on-one capacity, we may collect additional information from you including, but not limited to social security numbers, past tax information, financial information, and other personal data necessary for us to provide you with financial consulting and bookkeeping services. For this data, we use a different, reputable third-party platform designed for these purposes.

Company reserves the right to update this privacy policy at any time. We will notify you by email and any material changes are made regarding your personal information.

We require only the information that is reasonably required to enter into a contract with you. We will not require you to provide consent for any unnecessary processing as a condition of entering into a contract with us.

As we operate exclusively online, you can email us to request deletion of your personal information.

We want to assure you that we do not sell or share your personal information.

We will not deny you service or access to our Website because you are a California resident or choose to exercise your rights under the CCPA. However, if you do not provide us with necessary personal or payment information to complete a transaction, we may not be able to fulfill your order.

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as social security numbers, financial account information, precise geolocation data, or genetic data as part of our standard practices. However, if you choose to work with us one-on-one, we may need to collect sensitive personal information to provide our services.
